Development projects
Hamburg Teacher Education as a continuous development process
Teacher education in Hamburg finds itself in a continuous development process, aiming at adapting study programs as well as the teaching practice period to changing social conditions. The ZLH participates in these reform projects by coordinating and carrying out projects or by being involved in projects.
Impulses and goals of this process have different origins, namely
- the political sphere (cf. reform of teacher education (only in German)),
- teacher proficiency research (cf. research and development projects),
- internationalization of teacher education (cf. DiCoT),
- development activities of university teachers (cf. teaching laboratories (only in German) and Arbeitsstelle Lehrerprofessionalisierung (only in German)), and
- collaborations with the State Institute of Teacher Training and School Development.
The improvement and further development of the university study programs and the training program of the State Institute for Teacher Training and School Development stimulate and challenge all responsible players.
